Sustainability

The Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority and U.S. Bank Stadium aim to reduce the Stadium's carbon footprint in all areas of operations by taking actions to become a zero-waste facility and utilizing wind energy, smart building management systems and LED lights. Waste that cannot be recycled, composted, donated or reused is taken to a trash-to-energy facility and converted to steam to heat buildings in the Minneapolis area. The stadium also ensures responsible water use by using low flow fixtures and a storm water collection system in order to promote sustainability.
